Catz in Pajamas is a rock and roll band from Asheville NC. They represent a joyous and creative reunion of three musicians that grew up in what would be a hotbed of music, Winston- Salem NC. Playing together in their first bands at the ages of 12-13, they pursued separate music career for some 50 years. After being a member of Winston Salem legends, Sacred Irony, Corky McMillan spent his musical career in Atlanta, Nashville and NY – along the way playing with Vassar Clements, Delbert McClinton and others as well as his own bands playing original material. Ed Dodson’s career took him to both the Atlanta and New York music scenes, playing with Corky in Sweet Rye and recording with jazz rock group Merlin in New Yok City for CBS records. Upon his return from a two year assignment in Brussels, Ed recorded six bluegrass albums (with Wood and Steel and with Skip Kelley) and has taught bluegrass guitar for over 20 years at the prestigious Swannanoa Gathering. Robin Borthwick played with The Shadows of Thyme in Winston Salem, opening for Billy Joe Royal, Kenny Rogers, The Jaggerz and Chicago. She moved to Houston, Texas, in the mid 70’s where she played with a regionally successful cover band, Daily Planet. In 1998, she established herself in the Houston musical theater circuit. In 2005, she lived temporarily in Aberdeen, Scotland, and toured Europe with Lucille and the Red Hot Blues Mamas performing at the Aalborg Blues Festival, Denmark, and Stichting Blues Fest, Breda, Netherlands. Catz in Pajamas play their own music supported with selected cover tunes. Plans call for recording in early 2022.
