Live Music with Big Dawg Slingshots

Take a trip to the Atomic Age and beyond with Big Dawg Slingshots, Asheville’s unique Western Swing experience. Formed in 2015 the band features the hot jazz duo of Ryan and Rina who’s deep musical connection makes for a dynamic show reminiscent of string greats such as Venuti and Lang. Inspired by their musical heros’ Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys, the group performs Western Swing deep cuts from the 1930’s to the 1950’s, swing favorites and original tunes written by guitarist and vocalist Ryan Schagel. Fiddler Rina Ann incorporates her own Jazz Tap Dancing into their live show for an entertaining twist.
