ASHEVILLE, NC (June 14, 2022) — Asheville’s original craft brewery will release Community Harvest Fruited Ale on Sunday, June 26. This brewery-only release was created in collaboration with MANNA FoodBank. The brew features an original crowler label illustration by local designer, Jenny Fares of Sound Mind Creative. The design is inspired by MANNA’s work to feed and nourish people in western North Carolina.
This release will also include the summer Meadow Markets with local artisans and farmer’s market vendors. There will be live music from 2-5 PM. Guests who bring four canned goods to donate to MANNA will be entered to win a special Highland prize pack.
Community Harvest is the third in Highland’s Pints with Purpose series of beers supporting area non-profits. This tart refreshing brew features blueberries and a little hibiscus flower that give it a beautiful color and bright berry flavor.
Olivia Onderlinde, MANNA’s Corporate Engagement Manager, said “MANNA is excited and grateful to be a Pints with Purpose partner. Highland Brewing is a longtime partner and neighbor to MANNA FoodBank engaging in our work throughout WNC – leading with generosity and care.”
The next release will be Survivor Strong Hazy IPA supporting HelpMate on July 30.
A portion of the proceeds from all draft and crowler sales at both Highland taprooms will benefit the non-profits. These beers are taproom exclusives and will be released sequentially. Each beer is expected to run out before the next one becomes available. Additional donation opportunities will be available at the release events and online throughout the five months of the campaign. To learn more, visit highlandbrewing.com/community.

ABOUT HIGHLAND BREWING
Highland Brewing was founded in 1994 by retired engineer and entrepreneur Oscar Wong, establishing it as the pioneer of Asheville, NC’s now booming craft beer industry. Proudly regional, Highland’s beers are distributed in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia. Highland is committed to quality and sustainability, boasting the sixth largest solar array in an American craft brewery. Today, the company is led by Wong’s daughter, Leah Wong Ashburn, and serves as the largest independent, family-owned, and operated brewery native to the Southeast. Located in a rehabilitated manufacturing facility in East Asheville, the brewery affords space for visitors to enjoy limited-release beers, walking trails, volleyball courts, and live music. In spring 2021, the brewery opened its second taproom and returned to downtown Asheville. The Downtown Taproom within the S&W Market, Asheville’s first food hall, is a great spot to try a taste of the city. For more information, visit www.highlandbrewing.com.
