Strong Slow Flow with Kimber Jones | Free
Join us for a yoga practice focused on sinking in, letting the dust settle, and connecting with the body. We will warm up, flow through a few sun salutes, hang out in a few standing series, then get into some juicy openers and have plenty of time for savasana. This class is aimed at feeling grounding while also opening and connective. We won’t be moving super fast, but we will be holding some of the poses for a few breaths. Come home to your body and leave with a deeper connection to yourself.
Kimber was introduced to yoga and ayurveda in 2014 after being diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. Since 2018, she is completely off of all pharmaceuticals and totally symptom free. Her ayurvedic lifestyle is full of rhythm, ease, and continual growth. She hopes to connect her students to the ancient sciences in a modern and meaningful way. When not teaching, she is weightlifting, practicing jiu jitsu, homesteading, or exploring these beautiful mountains. She is a teacher at heart, and loves to nerd out and go deep. Her yoga style is a slow flow focused on connecting all parts of ourselves and creating a profound resiliency and intimacy within that connection. She completed her 200 hr teacher training at Asheville Yoga Center in 2017 and 300 hr in 2020. She completed an advanced studies program and apprenticeship through Vira Bhava Yoga in 2020 and graduated from the Ayurvedic Institute in 2023.
