Water, Malt, Hops & Yeast Beer Dinner

Dive into the four ingredients of beer with this educational beer dinner featuring small plates by Chef Dano of Root Down paired with Highland brews. Highland’s Beer Education Specialist Megan Rayfield will be on hand to guide guests through the stories and flavors of Hops, Malt, Yeast, and Water. We will learn about the impact of those ingredients on different beers and food as each course will feature two 4oz pours of different beers alongside the small plates. Tickets available HERE
The event will be Thursday, January 13th from 6-8pm in our Barrel Room. This event is 21+ only. Guests must be able to provide ID. Additional beverages will be available for purchase at the bar. Tables are sold in sets of 2, 4, 6, and 8. Tickets are non-refundable. The Barrel Room is located in the dark grey building next to the Taproom.

Due to the Buncombe County mask mandate, masks must be worn when entering the space, walking around, approaching the bar, and using the restroom.

Creole/Asian Beef Noodle Soup

Malt:
Red Beans & Rice
Beer hydrated, slow cooked, & infused with smoked turkey
4oz Gaelic Ale & 4oz Black Mocha Stout

Hops:
Catfish & Grits
Cornmeal crusted and fried crispy with heirloom corn with red courtbouillon gravy
4oz Daycation & 4oz AVL IPA

Yeast:
Pecan Praline Bread Pudding
New Orleans style confection combined with warm egg bread
4oz Starchaser White & Tim’s Trippel
