Raise a pint for the love of beer and mountains.
We teamed up with the folks at Wicked Weed and Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy to create two collaborative small batch brews supporting land and water conservation in recognition of SAHC’s 50th anniversary.
Wicked Holler Blonde Ale is a collaborative brew between local brewers, land stewards, and farmers, crafted with ingredients forged and farmed from land protected by the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy. This refreshing blonde ale features bright citrus notes from lemon verbena and lemon balm, complemented by the earthy, resinous, gingery undertones of freshly-harvested spruce tips. The result is a light, crisp ale with a fragrant, herbaceous aroma and a zesty refreshing finish. Perfect for enjoying the natural beauty of Appalachia, one sip at a time.
Alongside Wicked Weed, we have a diptych of beers that complement each other. Highland Brewing made Wicked Holler American Blonde Ale while Wicked Weed made Wicked Appalachia Belgian Style Blonde Ale – same malts, same hops, same herbs, different yeast. Swing by both places to try how each one turned out!
Wicked Holler taps on Thursday, May 23rd, with a portion of proceeds donated directly to SAHC to support conservation efforts.
