Visit Highland Brewing – Asheville’s First Brewery
Highland Brewing is Asheville’s first brewery, founded in 1994, and its 40-acre Highland Station campus is one of the region’s largest craft beer destinations. The property combines a working production brewery with a Taproom, Innovation Brew House, outdoor recreation, live music, and private event venues — making it a spot for craft beer enthusiasts, families, volleyball players, and disc golfers alike.
In the Taproom, find year-round favorites, seasonal releases, and small-batch beers available only on-site. Daily food trucks, live music four nights a week, and community events round out the experience.
Highland Brewing welcomes families, with a supervised natural playground and open-air lawn space designed for kids and adults alike. When the weather warms up, relax in the Meadow — an open-air hangout with sunshine, shade, and live music. Kids can explore “Crafted for Kids,” a natural playground built from materials sourced around the brewery.

Highland Brewing offers multiple private event venues on its Asheville property, including the Event Center, Rooftop, Barrel Room, and reservable Silo Cabanas — suited for weddings, corporate events, and celebrations of any size.

In 2026, Highland Brewing is adding an in-house pizza restaurant, plus Black Dome Outfitters and Cultivate Climbing to its Asheville campus.
Reserve a Silo Cabana
The Silo Cabanas once functioned as grain storage for Highland until normal wear and tear necessitated its replacement in 2023. In a creative effort to minimize waste, the silo was halved with it’s top and bottom anchored into the ground with retired beer kegs and concrete. Design and construction were spearheaded by Highland’s own facilities team.
Perfect for birthday parties, showers, or catching live music with your crew, the Silo Cabanas offer guaranteed space for your group in Highland’s vibrant outdoor area. Rates vary by day and programming, with occasional special event pricing.
