Woody Wood plays an acoustic show live in the tasting room at Highland Brewing Company in Asheville, NC.

Aaron Wood is quite the renaissance music man. He grew up steeped in the traditions of blues and folk music of North Carolina. His father has shared the stage with the likes of Bill Monroe and Ralph Stanley and performed at The Grand Ole Opry, taking Aaron with him every chance he got. It didn't take long before the music took hold, and he studied any kind of music he could get his fingers on.

One look at the long list of artists he has shared the stage with exemplifies his diversity and respect from his musical peers. From Jimmy Martin to Leon Russel, R.L. Burnside to Warren...

Born and raised in Northeastern PA, Chris began playing music initially as a drummer, he learned his craft on Friday and Saturday nights in the hard nosed, coal region pubs scattered throughout once vibrant towns, abandoned anthracite breakers haunting their outskirts. The bar stools were mostly occupied by tough, working class people, known for their blunt honesty but good intent. It’s that “hardness with a big heart” attitude that Chris would later carry into his songwriting. His teens and early 20’s were spent playing...

Click here to check out The Wobblers' website.

Born in 2012, the Wobblers are gaining notoriety as one of the Upstate's most unique roots bands. With a heavy emphasis on New Orleans style rhythms and unique instrumentation, the band pulls from a wide variety of influences. Gospel blues,organ-heavy,hard-bop jazz, and old-school twangy country make for a well-rounded and high energy show.

The 4 piece band, originally formed to play just one show, stumbled on a sound reminiscent of the 60's Memphis soul/Stax records. They soon added horns to further enrich their sonic palette.

Handwritten and forged with sentimentality and sincerity, she has contributed to the Americana songbook with her years of dedication to the listeners. She is known for her witty, wry, and touching lyrics that alternately expose the most precious secrets of one’s heart and hide those injuries behind a hardened Pioneer ethic. She delivers these stories in a high lonesome or in unapologetic, strident, eyeball jab.

Most bands don’t take it far enough. Rock isn’t dead. Blues isn’t dead. There will always be a sweet spot for music where Blues and Punk hit. Legitimate idea of what happens when hard mountain blues meets old school CBGBs New York punk. Here’s the Dirty Badgers. Think “New York Dolls.” Think “White Stripes.” The idea that a gang can stand up and play something real – that’s still real. From the mountain blues side - Duke, dirty gas-station attendant, saw him at a Halloween show with a skull painted over his face, local...
