Saw-whet Saison [Discontinued]

This farmhouse ale shows off a complex malt bill and a unique, spicy yeast, with subtle citrus notes. Astutely hopped for balance and dimension, while finishing exceptionally dry. A perfect beer to transition from winter to spring.

The saison is named after the Saw-whet Owl, which can be found on Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy protected land in North Carolina and Tennessee. It is the smallest owl in the eastern U.S. and can be spotted perched among the conifers during the winter months.

Hike with us

Saw-whet Saison, like our other seasonals, is named for a feature of the Southern Appalachian landscape. Please join us on a seasonal, naturalist-guided hike, with our guide from Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy.

Join the party

For each seasonal beer, we throw a release party in our Tasting Room, posted on our Calendar. Join us for a fresh brew and learn something about the tiny Saw-Whet owl from our friends at SAHC! For more information about our efforts with SAHC, please see our Stewardship page.
