Asheville’s Godfather of Jazz, Russ Wilson, brings his All Star Big Band to The Meadow for a swingin’ summer show. Russ and his orchestra have been playing authentic hot jazz and swing from Wilmington to Los Angeles for over 25 years. His holiday show “Have Yourself A Swingin’ Little Christmas” (now in their 4th year at H.B.C.) has become an Asheville tradition. They just recently released a limited-edition recording (in 78 rpm format!!) for the 100th anniversary Okeh Asheville Sessions. Along with Russ and the orchestra will be renowned jazz vocalist Wendy Jones. This is a show not to be missed. Swing in to Summer with Russ Wilson and His Famous Orchestra.
Weekend Live Music
Highland Brewing’s weekend live music series showcases incredible local talent, regional acts and national touring bands from across the East Coast and beyond. Free and open to all ages (unless noted otherwise), it’s the perfect excuse to gather your crew, listen and vibe to a wide range of genres including soul, bluegrass, acoustic, country, folk and more.
Live music typically takes place on our scenic Meadow stage. Shows are rain or shine, if the weather doesn’t cooperate and we have time to move inside, the band will play in the Taproom where there’s still plenty of room to boogie.
Chairs, blankets and well-behaved, leashed pets are welcome in the Meadow. Please note that coolers and outside alcohol are not permitted on the premises.
