Off Topic: Burial Beer Co. x Highland Brewing

Join us on the Rooftop on Wednesday, August 12th at 6pm for a special edition of Off Topic, Burial Beer Co.’s ongoing panel series — right here at Highland! This event is free to attend. This event brings together two breweries who’ve helped shape Asheville’s beer scene from very different vantage points as we celebrate the release of three collaboration brews.

• Nikki Mitchel, VP of Brand Development at Highland Brewing
• Mike Shields, Innovation Brewer at Highland Brewing

The conversation will trace how Asheville’s beer culture has evolved since Highland brewed it’s first Gaelic in 1994 — from the earliest days of local craft beer to the dense, competitive, and collaborative scene we know today. Jess, Nikki, Mike will dig into the making of three collaboration beers between Highland and Burial, which release at the event, August 12.

Guests are encouraged to purchase the collaboration flight from the Rooftop bar upon arrival — we’ll be tasting through all three beers plus Highland’s Gaelic Amber Ale as part of the panel discussion. All three collab beers will also be pouring on draft throughout the evening.
